Asia line racket, from BLACK CROWN brand, in its soft version. Composed of an EVA gum-coated carbon structure and a plane composed of 3 fiberglass covers. It has a core of EVA gum SUPER SOFT, a low density gum. It has a round shape. It has a smooth surface with matt finish.

Racket Features:

First Impressions:

When you take it for the first time, you get the feeling of a lightweight, well-manageable racket. The swing is clearly directed towards the handle. By placing the overgrips, you will be able to optimize the swing still towards the handle. If you cannot put more than 1 overgrip the option is also for placing tungsten tapes under the Overgrip (s) to lower the paddle balance. On the contrary if you want to add more power, place the ribbons on the top of the racket below or above the protector.

This is a pretty viable option for when you like a lot of all the other features of a racket, less of your swing. In the case of this racket there is no need to add weight to the handle.

General lines:

In play it is a racket with a very soft touch and with great comfort that even makes it look like a “FOAM” racket . The inclusion of EVA gum in its structure, the fiberglass covers and the low-density gum make the Black Crown Asia Soft a very comfortable racket for the arm. It features a large sweet spot, not the biggest but it’s pretty good.

In terms of power, in line with soft round rackets, it lacks enough, but it would be expected. It’ has pretty good handling. It counts with a medium-high output.

In the net:

In the net, it is still very comfortable and allows deep strokes without much effort, but requires attention, correct technique and care with the strength not to hit the glass.  In the smash you need to print enough strength to be able to draw efficiently by 3, by 4 and bring the ball back.

Back of the court:

At the back of the court it will be very comfortable, the medium-high output allows you to solve difficult situations  and being manageable also allows you to react quickly.  The sweet spot is more than enough to be considered a permissive and easy racket. Lobs and defensive strokes come out easy and without problems, but attention to the glass.

Weight:

The weight tested was 367gr.

Surface:

The surface is smooth with matt finish.

Sound:

In sound terms is a racket that has a medium-high sound and with a medium-low timbre.

Safety cord:

The safety cord is adjustable which is always ideal in my opinion.

Durability:

In terms of durability, it appears to be a solid, well-built racket.

Pros:

  • Good output
  • Large Sweet spot
  • Very comfortable

Cons:

  • Lacks power
  • Lacks some rigidity

Conclusion:

In conclusion, this is a racket indicated for players of beginner level up to medium-high, who want a racket very comfortable and easy that allows them to return everything possible from the back of the court. In the net will not shine but will be OK and being permissive helps to camouflage some technical errors.

It is very manageable which also simplifies the game. It has a soft stroke and a medium-high output. It’s a racket that in the defensive stage, by its output and sweet spot, will help you a lot.  In the smash, with technique and good dose of force you will be able to draw by 3, by 4 and bring the ball back.

The visual part could be better achieved in my opinion. I didn’t feel practically vibration in my arm.  The presence of EVA gum in the structure, the low-density gum and the fiberglass covers contribute favorably to the comfort of the racket.

It serves, in my opinion, players to start or typically right-wingers who excel for control and leave nothing unanswered. An easy and very comfortable racket on the part of the Black Crown.
