Racket of the HACK line, in its 2018 version from Bullpadel brand. Its the weapon chosen by Paquito Navarro for this season alongside Juan Martin Diaz. Composed of carbon, an aluminium protector and a core of BLACK EVA. It has a diamond shape and a rough surface.

When you pick it up you get the feeling of a racket very well finished but heavy and not manageable. The balance is clearly directed towards the head, something that you notice immediately. By placing the overgrips, if you like to put 3 or more, you will be able to optimize the balance in the direction of the handle. You can additionally put lead or tungsten ribbons on the handle under the overgrips to lower a little bit further.

The feeling is of a racket with a medium touch. Its core of black Eva gum and the tight carbon mesh conveyed a high rigidity, similar to its previous version. The carbon structure with the addition of the factory aluminum protector also gives you additional rigidity as well as weight directed towards the head. It has a solid hit but it requires a lot of technique. It features a pretty short sweet spot and placed on the top of the racket. In terms of power impresses especially in the smash. On the net the tray (bandeja) comes out very well when technically well executed. The rough face helps a lot when lifting the ball to draw by 3. The control is reasonable on the back of the court, i will stress again, with a refined technique. It has a short output tending to medium and is hard to manage especially if one does not put 3 or more overgrips. At the back of the court the lobs are not especially easy to perform, lacks some sensitivity at the time of impact with the ball in my opinion.

The weight tested was 365gr.

The surface is rough with matt finish.

In sound terms it is a racket that has an average sound and with a medium timbre.

The safety cord is adjustable and very comfortable.

In terms of durability, it seems to be a solid and well-built racket which leads to wanting that can have a long lifespan when well estimated.

Pros:

  • Excellent power in the smash
  • Adjustable cord
  • Roughness

Cons:

  • Difficult handling
  • Lack of sensitivity in the ball

In conclusion, this is a racket for high level players and with a very well-honed technique that want a very aggressive racket with a clear focus on power. It has a stroke of medium hardness and with short output that tends to medium. Very similar to its previous version of 2017. In a defensive phase it does not compromise if one has an exemplary technique. In the net is precise in the tray and has excellent power in the smash. With the correct technique you can easily draw by 3 or 4 or bring the ball back. I didn’t feel practically vibration in the arm, but I felt the weight of the head that struggles a bit the tendons after some playing time. The finishes are very good and the visual impresses. It is a high quality racket, which in my opinion serves clearly left-wing players who like rackets with a lot of aggression and power. It is not a very manageable racket and in my opinion fit to players of level already quite high and with good physical strenght. I don’t advise you if you have elbow problems. An interesting choice for those who like to abuse smash and aggressive play, if that is your case will give you a lot of pleasure on the field.
