Racket of the line “VERTEX 2”, of theBullpadel brand, in its version 2019. It is the “weapon” of the world number 1 WPT Maxi Sánchez for the 2019 season. Consisting of a carbon tubular structure, a 12k carbon face, and a BLACK EVA gum core. It also has an aluminium protector. It has a diamond shape. It has an aerated surface with matte finish. The Hesacore grip comes from Origin. The protection is prepared to incorporate weights (included in the pack) to customize the weight of the racket, whether on the handle or head. Also mention an anti-vibration system placed in the heart of the racket.
By taking it for the first time is the sensation of a very well finished and technologically advanced racket as it is already a habit of the brand. The balance is directed to the head, in line with its diamond shape.
By placing the overgrips, you will be able to slightly optimise the swing towards the handle. If you fail to place more than 1 overgrip the option also falls for putting the included weights to lower the paddle balance. On the contrary if you still want to add more power, put the weights included at the top of the racket at the spot indicated on the protector. This is a very viable option for when you like a lot of all the other features of a paddle, less the swing.
In play is a racket with a soft touch tending to medium. Quite similar to the previous version. It features an interesting sweet spot for a diamond racket, but it still is a technical racket. In terms of power, a few points below the HACK in my opinion but fairly well served. It has an average output tending to high, slightly above the previous year’s version. It is a racket with a nice and comfortable touch.
In the net:
In the net trays and volleys come out deep with ease. Attention however to the glass given the good output that the racket presents. It has reasonable handling, slightly better than HACK, and it is possible to improve it with adding weights to the grip. In the smash will have no problems, can achieve the necessary power to any more aggressive stroke.
Back of the court:
Control from the back of the court is also reasonable. Given the good output, average handling and sweet spot above the average for diamond rackets, it becomes an interesting racket also for a defense-attack transition. Helps mid-level players who want an aggressive racket. The medium-high output helps in returning complicated balls and reaching the desired depth in the lobs, but attention to the glass.
The tested weight was 366gr.
The surface is textured with Matt finish.
In sound terms is a racket that has a low sonority and with a medium-low timbre.
The safety cord is adjustable which is always best in our opinion.
In terms of durability, it appears to be a solid racket. Well cared for, it can last a long time with good performance.
- Customizing the balance Sheet
- Adjustable Safety Cord
- Sweet spot continues to be reduced
In conclusion, this is a fairly balanced racket for a diamond format. It is a more technical racket given the format, but it already allows mid-level players to achieve a good performance with it. It is a racket that serves in our opinion players left.
It has a soft stroke tending to medium. The sweet spot is reduced but quite acceptable for the format. In the defensive phase the control is reasonable and above average for the format, the average output helps you in more complicated situations and to achieve good depth in all strokes.
The high balance makes it difficult in the defensive phase, but the handling is not bad at all and this is positive for the format. A very comfortable racket being that the anti-vibration system helps a lot. In the net is a racket relatively easy for the format given the good output. Volleys and trays come out deep and powerful without difficulty but attention to the glass. You can effortlessly (for seasoned players), draw by 3, 4 and bring the ball back.
The visual part is strong and it is noted.
The soft touch is comfortable, and I have not felt practically vibration in the arm, which leads to the belief that the anti-vibration system of Bullpadel works correctly. The high swing however may weigh after some games.
A balanced racket, primarily for the offensive players but with interesting compromise in the defensive zone.
