Racket of the line “PRO”, of the CORK PADEL brand, in its version basalto. It is the “upgrade” to the already prestigious “PRO” original version. As the original version is composed of a carbon and Kevlar tubular structure, a carbon face, fiberglass, Innegra (a highly elastic and lightweight material used by NASA, aviation companies, Formula 1, among others) and basalt, the novelty in Constitution. It is still completely covered by cork, a brand image of Cork Padel. It has a tear shape. It has a smooth surface with cork finish. It is also noteworthy the addition of an asymmetric drilling, with smaller diameter in the nucleus that brings benefits at the level of output and power.

Racket Features:

First Impressions:

When taking it for the first time, you get the feeling of a very well balanced, visually imposing and very well finished racket. The balance is centered to drop to the handle as in its previous version.

By placing the overgrips, you will be able to slightly optimise the swing towards the handle. If you fail to place more than 1 overgrip the option is also adding tungsten tape on the grip. On the contrary if you still want to add more power, put the tape on the top of the racket. This is a very viable option for when you like a lot of all the other features of a paddle, less the swing.

General lines:

In game is a racket with a medium touch tending to soft. Harder than the previous version but equally comfortable. It features a fairly wide sweet spot for the teardrop format. In terms of power, it’s better than the standard version. There’s an average output. The comfort is phenomenal, as is already customary, but the stiffness provided by the basalt brings you that extra power and assertiveness that make it a much more complete and competitive racket.

In the net:

In the net trays and volleys come out with an impressive ease and depth. The output is just enough, making it easy to control the game in the net. It has a very good handling, which allows you to react quickly. In the smash you will feel an increase of power against the standard version, which means that it is well served in this field.

Back of the court:

Control from the back of the court is indeed exceptional. The output is sufficient, the sweet spot quite extensive and has good handling. These 3 positive factors make everything easier from the back of the court. It will help you  to return more complicated balls as well as to achieve the desired depth in the lobs.

The tested weight was 368gr.

The surface is entirely in Cork.

In sound terms is a racket that has an average sound (superior to the original version) and with a medium timbre.

Safety cord:

The safety cord is adjustable which is always best in our opinion.

In terms of durability, it seems to be a solid and very robust racket. Well cared for, it can last a long time with good performance.

  • Wide sweet spot
  • Excellent control/power ratio
  • Comfort and handling
  • Adjustable Safety Cord

  • N/A

In conclusion, what to say of a racket greatly impressed its original version and still manages to evolve. A good balance and exceptional comfort, now allied to a rigidity and robustness that lacked it through the addition of basalt in its composition. A multipurpose racket that serves players on both sides, perhaps with a slight tendency to the right side. Easy and fit at any level, yet the price in line with a well-equipped, high-end racket is the only problem for players just starting now.

It has a medium hardness stroke tending to soft. The sweet spot is wide and enjoyable. In the defensive phase the control is very good considering that it is a teardrop format. The average output helps you in the defensive phase. The balanced swing and consequent good handling will also help you in the defensive phase and in the net react quickly. The comfort remains present and is brand image. In the net is a much more assertive and poisonous racket than its predecessor. Volleys and trays come out deep and potent with naturalness. You can without great effort (for experienced players), draw by 3, by 4 and bring the ball back.

The visual part is bold as always, having also taken an upgrade with different patterns and quite attractive in our opinion integrated in the cork. I didn’t feel any kind of vibration in my arm, which makes this racket a friend of those who suffer from epicondylitis or some kind of arm injury.

A racket that comes back to impress and has everything to be a success for the brand. Good games!
