Racket of the Portuguese brand CORK PADEL, in its teardrop-round model from the PRO line. The racket is entirely covered by cork, with Kevlar in the structure, innegra a highly elastic and lightweight material used by NASA, aviation companies, Formula 1, among others, and a low density laminated EVA gum core. The difference for the PRO model is only a less dense carbon fibre structure in order to achieve a lower weight.
When first pick it up you get the feeling of a racket finished exquisitly with attention to all the details. The swing is centered, tending to the handle. By placing the overgrips, you will be able to optimize the balance in the direction of the handle. You can additionally put lead or tungsten ribbons on the handle, under the overgrips if you still want to lower it a little bit further, or alternatively put on the top of the racket to give you an extra power.
In play is a racket with a soft touch and extremely comfortable. Features a large sweet spot. In terms of power impressed me positivly because I expected much less. It has a medium output. In the net when making trays and volleys I recommend attention and a correct technique to compensate for the high output, which can take many balls directly to the glass. The control is phenomenal from the bottom of the court. The lobs come out perfectly and with a lot of effortless depth. This round model proves to be very easy to handle.
The weight tested was 368gr.
The surface is fully corked with matte varnish finish.
In sound terms it is a racket that has a medium sound and with a medium timbre to tend to the bass.
The safety cord is adjustable and very comfortable. In terms of durability, it appears to be a solid, well-built racket, and Cork seems to be a very sturdy and durable material.
- Fantastic control
- Unique Comfort
- Excellent handling
- Sweet spot Wide
- Lacks the power from the PREMIUM model
In conclusion, this is a racket that impressed me a lot, because i wasn’t expecting something with so much quality in all phases of the game. It serves players of all levels, sexes and ages. It has a soft stroke and medium output. In the defensive stage it is spectacular by its easy handling, very nice control and comfort. In the net has a power far above what I expected. You can easily draw by 3 by 4 and bring the ball back. I felt no vibration whatsoever in the arm, when finishing three intensive sets, the feeling was as if it had not even played. Cork is a material that perfectly absorbs any existing vibration. It is an impressive and handmade quality racket. It serves mostly right-wing players by its format, but I venture to say that it can also serve left-wing players who want that extra control and still maintain some power. The only downside is the high output that can harm the net game but only if the hit is sloppy. Very recommended for people with elbow problems. A fantastic bet of this Portuguese brand. I conclude by stating that I rectified the analysis after CORK PADEL sent a test racket under optimum conditions, which allowed me to verify that the output is quite controlled and nothing excessive.
