Racket of the well-known Diablo line of the Siux brand. Composed of carbon and graphen and a core of EVA SOFT. It has an oversize round shape and a smooth surface with mate finish.
The first impression is a very balanced racket and well built. The balance is roughly half-way down to the head. By placing three or more grips it is possible to lower the balance more to the handle.
The feeling is of racket with a very smooth touch and a very solid and constant hit. It features a large sweet spot, much by force of its oversize round shape. Power is something that does not lack the Diablo, but with an equally impressive ball control. There is not much output, so it is dependent on the experience and strength of the user especially when in defensive position.
The weight tested was that of 363gr which proved to be a good weight after placement of the grips and protector.
The surface is smooth, with Matt finish. In sound terms it remains true to its predecessors and makes itself heard and well when it puts a little more force.
The safety cord is adjustable which becomes very comfortable for handling.
In terms of durability, it seems to be a pretty solid and well built racket which leads to wanting that can have a long lifespan.
- Good relationship between power and control
- High quality materials
- Ample “sweet spot”
- High price
In conclusion, it seems to me a very well balanced racket. With a dry hit and no great output which helps with control but does not help so much in the defensive phase. It does not transmit large vibrations to the arm which does not exert too much strain on the tendons. The finishes are very good and the visual is very well achieved. It is a high quality racket, which is best enjoyed by experienced players and in my opinion it is based on a more offensive game, preferably for a player on the left. An excellent choice indeed.
