Racket of the line “XTREME”, of the brand Orygen, in its version CARBON PRO. Composed of carbon in its structure, a mixed core of BLACK Eva SOFT and Eva SOF gum, and 3 3k carbon fibre covers on the face. It has a tear shape and a smooth surface with matte finish.

Racket Features:

First Impressions:

Taking it for the first time is the sensation of a balanced and robust racket. The balance is centered on what contributes to the feeling of equilibrium. By placing the overgrips, you will be able to optimise the balance in the direction of the handle. If you cannot put more than 1 overgrip the option is also for placing tungsten tapes under the Overgrip (s) to lower the paddle balance. On the contrary if you want to add more power, place the ribbons on the top of the racket below or above the protector. This is a pretty viable option for when you like a lot of all the other features of a racket, less its swing.

General lines:

In game is a racket with a medium-soft touch. The carbon in the structure and present in the 3 covers gives it additional rigidity. The sweet spot is quite generous to the format. In terms of power, although not its best feature has enough for an aggressive player. The handling is good given the centered balance, does not reach a round racket but is a positive point of this racket. It has a short exit to tender slightly to average.

In the net:

In the net is a racket that allows to be aggressive if necessary or opt for safety. You may want to do a correct stroke to reach the desired depth. The handling is sufficient to allow reacting to complicated balls. In the smash you will be able to withdraw by 3, 4 and bring the ball back, with the correct technique.

Back of the court:

Control from the back of  the court is quite good, the dry touch and suficient exit  allows it to be the player to totally control the stroke. The sweet spot is more than enough and allows to correct some technical errors. Lobs and defensive strokes require a correct technique to achieve the desired depth.

Weight:

The tested weight was 366gr.

Surface:

The surface is smooth with matt finish.

Sonority:

In sound terms is a racket that has a medium-high sonority and with a medium timbre.

Safety cord:

The safety cord is adjustable which is always important.

Durability:

In terms of durability, it seems to be a solid and well built and robust racket that will not break very easily. Well estimated will last a long time in my opinion.

Pros:

  • Good control/power ratio
  • Balanced
  • Adjustable Safety Cord

Cons:

  • Output somewhat short (for those who prefer more output)

Conclusion:

In conclusion, this is a racket with excellent balance that will not disappoint in any area of the field. A little more control-oriented but without disappointing when power is needed. The touch is dry but comfortable. It serves players who like to dominate in all phases of the game, perhaps with a slight higher predominance on the right side. It has a medium-soft hardness punch and a short output to tender slightly to average.

It is a racket that in the defensive phase will please you very much and in the net will not disappoint even though it is not its place of choice. Volleys and trays come out accurate and deep with a correct technique.  In the smash, with a well-executed blow, you’ll be able to draw by 3, 4 and bring the ball back. The visual part is attractive, and the aspect conveys quality. I didn’t feel practically vibration, despite its rigidity.  The centered balance helps it not weigh too much on your arm.

It serves, in my opinion, primarily right-wing players with some aggressiveness or leftist players who also do not neglect the defensive phase. Very good racket on the part of Orygen. Good games!
