Racket of the range “GIRO” of the brand Quilloqué?, in the new DUAL version, of 2019. Consisting of two carbon 24K covers, carbon frame and a hybrid core, consisting of BLACK EVA SOFT and FOAM gum. It has a oversize tear format. It has a rough surface with Matt finish.
When taking it for the first time, you get the feeling of a manageable racket, well finished and with a visual that conveys quality. The swing is centered, tending to the handle, such as the standard GIRO 24K.
By placing the overgrips, you will be able to slightly optimise the swing towards the handle. If you cannot put more than 1 overgrip the option is also for placing tungsten tapes under the Overgrip (s) to lower the paddle balance. On the contrary if you want to add more power, place the ribbons on the top of the racket below or above the protector. This is a very viable option for when you like a lot of all the other features of a paddle, less the swing.
In play is a racket with a soft touch, less dry than the version GIRO 24K. It features a fairly wide sweet spot, fruit of its oversize shape that gives it an extra amplitude to the 100% tear format rackets. In terms of power, nothing to say, just like your “sister.” It has an average output to tender for short, holes above the standard version.
IN THE NET:
In the net trays and volleys with very good precision and deep, without difficulty. The rough face helps and much in the intended effects.
BACK OF THE COURT:
Control from the back of the court is very good. I would say a few points above the standard GIRO 24K, given its slightly higher output, but maintaining a controlled touch and adapting to the game situation, more aggressive, or more defensive, fruit of its DUAL gum. Good maneumability allows you to react quickly and reach the most complicated balls. There will be no problem with the control and placement of the ball. Lobs leave with good depth, when a proper technique.
The weight tested was 360gr.
The surface is rough with matt finish.
In sound terms is a racket that has an average sound and a medium timbre.
The safety cord is adjustable. In my opinion my favorite model, simple and effective.
In terms of durability, it seems to be a very solid, very well built and robust racket that will not break very easily. Well estimated will last a long time in my opinion.
- Good power/control ratio
- Comfortable touch, with enough output
- Adjustable cord System
- Given the dual gum, the touch varies in some circumstances, which becomes positive after adaptation.
In conclusion, this is a racket that no longer surprises me, given the quality of all the other tested versions of this brand, which demonstrate a quality and care in the above average conception. In my opinion is a racket that serves players on both sides, with slight tendency to the right. It is a high-end racket, and with the concordant price, soon more suitable for mid-level players until advanced.
It has a soft blow and an average exit to tender for short. It is a racket with excellent compromise between power and control. The blow is very comfortable, fruit of the DUAL gum, where it includes the FOAM, very friend of the elbow. In the defensive phase is a few points above the standard GIRO 24K, given the upper output. The touch adjusts as it prints more or less power in the hit, which is positive after habituation, but may cause some weirdness at the beginning.
In the net you can get enough power without great effort. Volleys and trays come out accurate and deep with ease. You can do without great difficulty, draw for 3, 4 and bring the ball back with a correct technique.
The visual part is in my fantastic opinion, and conveys quality, with its silver look.
I didn’t feel any vibration in my arm. The double gum, with FOAM on the outside and BLACK EVA SOFT inside, makes it quite friendly to the elbow in our opinion.
A racket and a brand that no longer leave doubts at quality level. Excellent design and execution of Quilloqué?.
