Racket of the line “BLACK CARBON”, from the notorious brand SIUX, in its LUXURY version. Composed of a double tubular carbon structure, a 21k carbon face and a low density BLACK EVA ULTRA SOFT gum Core. It has a round shape. It has a smooth surface with matt finish.

Racket Features:

First Impressions:

When you pick it up for the first time you get the feeling of an awesome visually and comfortable racket. The swing is directed towards the handle, which conveys the feeling of lightness and comfort.

By placing the overgrips, you will be able to slightly optimise the swing towards the handle. If you cannot put more than 1 overgrip the option is also for placing tungsten tapes under the Overgrip (s) to lower the paddle balance. On the contrary if you want to add more power, place the ribbons on the top of the racket below or above the protector. This is a pretty viable option for when you like a lot of all the other features of a racket, less its swing.

General lines:

In-game is a racket with a touch of medium-soft hardness. It features a pretty ample sweet spot. In terms of power does not impress in any way, but it is quite reasonable given the format. There’s an average output.

In the net:

In the net trays and volleys come out quite easily, with good depth and control. It has excellent handling given its balance, allowing a rapid reaction in the net. In the smash will notice lack of some power, but for a round racket is quite well.

Back of the court:

Back of the court control is exceptional. The ample sweet spot, medium output and low swing makes this racket an excellent choice for the defensive stage. Lobs come out accurate in general.

Weight:

The weight tested was 365gr.

Surface:

The surface is smooth with matt finish.

Sound:

In sound terms is a racket that has a medium sound and with a medium timbre.

Safety cord:

The safety cord is adjustable which is always best in our opinion.

Durability:

In terms of durability, it appears to be a solid racket. Well cared for, it can last a long time with good performance.

Pros:

  • Handling
  • Control
  • Wide sweet spot
  • Adjustable Safety Cord

Cons:

  • Lack power
  • Price

Conclusion:

In conclusion, this is a very well achieved racket, as in addition to having excellent control allows some versatility in the game. In my opinion it is a racket that serves primarily a right-wing player, whether they are more defensive or offensive. It can also serve a more conservative left-wing player with no major problems. The only snag is the very high price, which is recommended to more experienced players. It has a medium-soft stroke. The sweet spot is quite ample even for a round racket. In the defensive phase the control is very good, the average output, good handling and sweet spot help you to control any type of ball.

In the net you will miss some power, but for the format has an interesting commitment. Volleys and trays come out placed and with impressive ease. You  with some effort, draw by 3, 4 and bring the ball back.

The visual part is minimalist and very elegant. A very well-managed look.

The tact of medium-soft hardness is quite comfortable, i did not feel practically vibration in the arm. The low swing is also quite beneficial for the arm.

A high quality racket on the part of the SIUX, at a concordant price. Good games!
