Racket of the line “PEGASUS”, SIUX brand, in its LUXURY version. It is the evolution of the original PEGASUS model, whose analysis can also find here. Consisting of a carbon structure, a carbon face 24K and graphene and a core of BLACK EVA SOFT gum. It has a teardrop shape. It has a smooth surface with matt finish.

Racket Features:

First Impressions:

When first grab  it you get the feeling of a very manageable and solid racket just like its original version. The balance is slightly directed towards the head.

By placing the overgrips, you will be able to optimise the balance in the direction of the handle. If you cannot put more than 1 overgrip the option is also for placing tungsten tapes under the Overgrip (s) to lower the paddle balance. On the contrary if you want to add more power, place the ribbons on the top of the racket below or above the protector. This is a very viable option for when you like a lot of all the other features of a paddle, less the swing.

General lines:

In play is a racket with a medium-hard touch, more stable than the standard version. The 100% carbon structure gives it high rigidity.

It presents a surprisingly wide sweet spot for a teardrop format racket. In terms of power is fairly well, leveling in terms of power with a wide range of diamond rackets. It has an average output, slightly above the standard version in our opinion.

In the net:

The net is where you will feel better with this racket. The controlled output, but sufficient allied to the excellent power, makes it a fantastic racket at the time of making the tray, smash or volley.

It’s quite manageable for the format.

In the smash, you will be able to bring the ball back, draw for 3 and 4, without great difficulty, as long as you have the correct technique.

Back of the court:

Control from the back of the court is not its strong point. The average output helps with those complicated balls, but it seems that it lacks something, especially for less experienced players.

The ample sweet spot helps, as well as the reasonable handling for the format, but it is not a round racket. Lobs and defensive blows come out without a big problem.

Weight:

The weight tested was 365gr.

Surface:

The surface is smooth with matt finish.

Sound:

In sound terms is a racket that has a medium-high sonority and with a medium-high timbre.

Safety Cord:

The safety cord is adjustable and quite comfortable, which should be the norm on all rackets in my opinion.

Durability:

In terms of durability, it seems to be a solid, very well built and robust racket that will not break very easily. Well estimated will last a long time in my opinion.

Pros:

  • Wide Sweet spot
  • Good power
  • Manageable for the format
  • Adjustable cord

Cons:

  • Price
  • Lacks something at the back of the court

Conclusion:

In conclusion, this is a racket of unmistakable quality, both in materials and at the level of conception and construction. It is a hybrid racket, designed to help you in all phases of the game, however it is in the net that it shines the most.

It has a medium-hard touch and an average output. It is a racket that in the defensive phase will not seem immediately ideal, but with habituation fulfill yours must given the ample sweet spot and reasonable handling for the format.

In the net you will feel very good in all the strokes. In smash, you’ll be able to draw by 3, 4 and bring the ball back with the right technique.

The visual part is quite concordant with the intended quality concept.

I have not felt practically vibration in the arm, but it is not totally exempt due to its fully carbon structure that gives it a sharp stiffness. Its swing, tending to the head, of course, will weight on your arm.

It serves, in my opinion, high level players, on both sides, who want a quality racket and that will help you especially in the net game.

The price is something excessive. A quality racket!. Good games.
