Racket of the “SPYDER” line, from SIUX, in its “LUXURY GRAFENO” 2019 version. Consisting of a carbon tubular structure, a 24K carbon face and Graphene, and a BLACK EVA SOFT Core. It has a diamond shape. It has a smooth surface with matt finish.
By picking it up for the first time you get the feeling of a quality racket, with good finishings and powerful. The balance is directed to the head, in line with its diamond shape.
By placing the overgrips, you will be able to slightly optimise the swing towards the handle. If you fail to place more than 1 overgrip the option also falls for putting the included weights to lower the paddle balance. On the contrary if you still want to add more power, put the weights included at the top of the racket at the spot indicated on the protector. This is a very viable option for when you like a lot of all the other features of a paddle, less the swing.
In play is a racket with a medium touch tending to soft. The sweet spot is ample for a diamond racket, but nevertheless it is a technical racket. In terms of power, it is fantastic, nothing to say. It has an average output, tending to short. It is a racket with a comfortable touch but with the necessary rigidity.
In the net:
in The net trays and volleys come out with impressive ease. The handling is not the best due to the format, but compared to other diamond models is above average. In the smash it will help you a lot when you want to perform an aggressive blow.
Back of the court:
Control from the back of the court is not bad. The output tends to short but is enough for a player with good technique. The above average sweet spot compensates for reduced handling. Aggressive wall exits are even more aggressive with this racket. For lobs and defensive strokes not to get short, a correct technique is required in order to reach the sweet spot.
The tested weight was 369gr.
The surface is smooth with matt finish.
In Sound Terms is a racket that has a high sonority and with a medium timbre.
The safety cord is adjustable which is always best in our opinion.
In terms of durability, it appears to be a solid racket. Well cared for, it can last a long time with good performance.
- Excellent power
- Adjustable Safety Cord
In conclusion, this is a power racket but with some comfort in touch and good compromise of sweet spot. It is undoubtedly a technical racket but it will give you plenty of pleasure, especially in the net. It is a racket that serves in our opinion left wing players. It Has a medium-soft stroke. The sweet spot is quite acceptable for the format. In the defensive phase control is reasonable, it will never be a round racket or even teardrop in terms of control, yet acceptable for those who have good technique.
The high balance makes it difficult in the defensive phase, but the above average sweet spot helps to counter that point. A racket that is rigid but comfortable, one of the great positive points. In the net is an impressive racket and it will make your life easier. Volleys and trays come out deep and potent without difficulty. You can effortlessly (for experienced players), draw by 3, 4 and bring the ball back.
The visual part is well achieved in line with the previous SPYDER models. This is the most sober so far.
The medium-soft touch is quite comfortable, and i have not felt practically vibration in the arm, which leads to the belief that the anti-vibration system works correctly. The high swing however may weigh after some games.
A racket clearly for aggressive players very well achieved by SIUX. Good games!
