Racket of the line “SUPERNOVA ATTK”, of the ADIDAS brand, in its version 1.8. Composed of 3k carbon fiber, aluminized fiberglass and a core of EVA high MEMORY gum, a medium-high density white gum. It has a diamond shape. It has a smooth surface with matt finish and some details with glossy varnish.
When you take it for the first time you get the feeling of a powerful racket with a high level of finish, in line with the other models ADIDAS tested. The swing is directed towards the head, but not as much as the ADIPOWER ATTK 1.8 or CARBON ATTK 1.8.
By placing the overgrips, you will be able to slightly optimise the swing towards the handle. If you cannot put more than 1 overgrip the option is also for placing tungsten tapes under the overgrip (s) to lower the racket balance. On the contrary if you want to add more power, place the ribbons on the top of the racket below or above the protector. This is a pretty viable option for when you like a lot of all the other features of a racket, less of its swing.
In play is a racket with a medium-hard touch. Features a small, high placed sweet spot, normal for this diamond format. In terms of power, there is no reason to complain. It has a medium-short output.
In the net:
In the net, it is very much in line with the remaining ADIDAS attack rackets at the depth level that can be achieved, and I have the feeling of being the most manageable of the attack options.
Back of the court:
The back control is acceptable, being slightly more manageable and having an average output to tend to short, allows you to maintain some security commitment in the defensive fase. The lobs come out with average depth. It is advisable to have a good technique to perform a complete and correct blow to achieve the reduced sweet spot that the racket presents.
The weight tested was 360gr.
The surface is smooth with glossy finish and spot mate details.
In sound terms it is a racket that has a high-sounding and medium-high timbre.
The safety cord is simple and does not allow easy adjustment.
In terms of durability, it seems to be a solid racket, very well built and robust that will not break very easily. Well-esteemed will last a long time in my opinion.
- Good power
- Above-average handling for this format
- Very well achieved Visual
- Safety Cord Not adjustable
In conclusion, this is a racket for aggressive players who are in transition to a medium-high level because it counts with good power and a manusebilidade above the average for this format, making it an easier racket than the remaining options of power from ADIDAS that are more demanding in my opinion.
It has a stroke of medium-hard hardness and a medium-short output. It is a racket that will not disappoint you in the net or in the transition phase to the attack.
In the defensive phase, it is a racket sometwhat technical but it complies and the output will help you. Volleys and trays come out with depth. When smashing, when you hit sweet spot, you’ll be able to draw by 3, by 4 and bring the ball back in an easy way.
The visual part is very attractive in my opinion as all the ADIDAS rackets I have tested. I felt some vibration in the arm, its high swing may eventually also bring some discomfort after some time of play. It serves, in my opinion, offensive players of a high-level left-wing who want a racket a little easier with regard to power rackets. A good choice of power at an attractive price. Good games!
