Racket of the range “BAMBOO” of the prestigious Spanish brandVibor-A, in its version liquid 2018. Consisting of carbon, Kevlar, fiberglass and a SOFT EVA gum core. It has a oversize round shape. It has a rough surface with Matt finish.

Racket Features:

First Impressions:

Picking her up for the first time gets the feeling of a manageable and well-finished racket. The balance is directed to the handle and you can feel it immediately.

By placing the overgrips, you will be able to slightly optimise the swing towards the handle. If you cannot put more than 1 overgrip the option is also for placing tungsten tapes under the Overgrip (s) to lower the paddle balance. On the contrary if you want to add more power, place the ribbons on the top of the racket below or above the protector. This is a very viable option for when you like a lot of all the other features of a paddle, less the swing.

General lines:

In play is a racket with a medium touch, the gum is soft but the Kevlar in the structure and the fiberglass on the face gives you an additional rigidity and hardness. It features a sweet spot of the biggest I have ever tested. In terms of power there is much shortage comparing to more aggressive rackets, but it would already be expected. It’s got a mid-high output.

In the net:

In the net trays and volleys come out with good accuracy and depth. Some attention to the glass given the medium-high output. In the smash you’ll miss power, but the rough face will allow a tray and a very poisonous vibora.

Back of the court:

Control from the back of the court is fantastic at all levels. There is no impossible ball to return with this giant sweet spot, good output and low swing. Lobs come out with good depth most of the time.

Weight:

The tested weight was 375gr.

Surface:

The surface is rough with matt finish.

Sonority:

In sound terms is a racket that has a medium-high sonority and with a high timbre.

Safety cord:

The safety cord is adjustable as is the Vibor-A brand habit.

Durability:

In terms of durability, it seems to be a solid racket, very well built and robust. Well cared for, it can last a long time with good performance.

Pros:

  • Excellent control
  • Huge sweet spot
  • Manageable
  • Adjustable Safety Cord

Cons:

  • Clearly lacking power
  • Price

Conclusion:

In conclusion, this is a very well designed racket and with the goal and well-defined type player. In my opinion it is a racket that serves right-sided players, who are authentic “walls”. Recommended for all tiers, however for the price concordant with a high range, more suitable for already more experienced players.

It has a medium hardness stroke and a medium-high output. It’s a racket with excellent sweet spot.  In the defensive phase will feel able to defend everything, given the sweet spot, output and swing. In the net will never be the best racket, but does not compromise and allows to react quickly in tighter strokes. Volleys and trays come out deep and precise. Attention to the excesses leading to the glass. You can it with technique and some effort, draw by 3, 4 and bring the ball back. The rugged face helps in the intended effects.

The visual part is in my opinion is spectacular just like the rest line of the brand. The fluorescent green with the typical Vibor-a design looks great.

I felt some vibration in the arm given the rigidity that Kevlar provides, but very little. The swing towards the handle helps comfort in this chapter.

A racket for the lovers of the defensive game. An easy racket. Difficult to dislike. Good games!
