[dfrcs name=”VIBORA LETHAL HYBRID PALA”]

Racket of the new line “Lethal”, of then VIBOR-A brand, renowned brand of the international padel, in its hybrid version 2020. Composed of a 6K carbon tubular structure, carbon faces 24k of ultra soft EVA black gum. It has a oversize teardrop format. It has a smooth surface and glossy finish. To enhance the anti-vibration system incorporated into the racket structure and a reinforced heart.

Racket Features:

First Impressions:

When you take it for the first time you get the feeling of a well finished racket, robust but with a feeling of lightness. The swing is centered, falling to the head.

By placing the overgrips, you will be able to slightly optimise the swing towards the handle. If you fail to place more than 1 overgrip the option also falls for putting the included weights to lower the paddle balance. On the contrary if you still want to add more power, put the weights included at the top of the racket at the spot indicated on the protector. This is a very viable option for when you like a lot of all the other features of a paddle, less the swing.

GENERAL LINES:

At stake is a racket with a medium-soft touch, quite comfortable. The sweet spot is centered and is slightly above average, given the oversize tear shape. When it comes to power, it’s a few points below its “sister” LETHAL ATTACK, but it does. It has a medium-high ball output.

IN THE NET:

In the net trays and volleys usually come out deep. Handling is a positive point in this hybrid format, which allows you to react reasonably quickly and make the correct movements. When smashing you will need to print that extra power, to get to the result of the most aggressive formats so you will be able, with some effort and with the correct technique, to draw for 3, by 4 or bring the ball back.

BACK OF THE COURT:

The control in the defensive zone is quite positive, fruit of good handling and generous sweet spot, does not reach a round racket, but is close. The medium-high output helps in the more complicated balls as well as the wide sweet spot. Lobs, come out with natural depth, you have to be careful not to hit the glass.

Weight:

The weight tested was 369gr.

Surface:

The surface is smooth with glossy finish.

Sounding:

In sound terms it is a racket that has a medium-low sound and with a medium-low timbre, slightly different from the norm of the high-sounding mark.

SAFETY CORD:

The safety cord is simple and not adjustable, one of the few points that disappoints in this racket, as we were waiting for the tradiconal vibor-a system of comfortable fit.

Durability:

In terms of durability, it seems to be a very solid and robust racket. Well cared for, it can last a long time with good performance.

Pros:

  • Wide Sweet spot
  • Output (for those who like high output)
  • Comfortable

Cons:

  • Safety Cord Not adjustable
  • Slight lack of power
  • Price

Conclusion:

In conclusion, like the previously tested LETHAL ATTACK, this racket from the new VIBOR-A range, which excels in comfort, leaves good impressions. This is a much more “all-round” version, which aims to be a solution for all phases of the game. It serves players from both sides and all levels, given their permissiveness, however given the price agreeing with a high range, it will be better suited for players already with some level.

It has a medium-soft, comfortable stroke. The sweet spot is wide. In the defensive phase the control is quite good and the output helps in the more complicated balls.

The swing is centered, tending slightly to the head and the handling is quite positive. In the network, not being its “natural habitat”, it complies and allows to react quickly and perform more easily the most complicated blows. The exit makes it a permissive racket, no doubt, but there is a lot of attention to the glass. You can, with some effort and with the right technique (for experienced players), draw by 3, for 4 and bring the ball back.

The visual part continues with a very attractive design, with the shades of the carbon mesh in metallic gold and black, a very bright finish and the typical image of the snake of the brand.

For the elbow, it is an excellent option, given the brand’s focus on reducing the vibrations of this racket as much as possible.

An innovative racket on the part of Vibor-a, quality, but with a price consistent with it.

Good games!
